I've had about as much luck with free guestbooks as I've had with the Texas Lottery. I tried to cut-n-paste the code for a couple when I first started. They never seemed to work. So out of frustration I finally just made me one myself.

I'm human, and I like a pat on the back just like the next fellow. Sometimes it's the only way a person knows if she's wasting her time and yours.

I keep trying to get them automatic ones to work. I've had three different ones before and about the longest any one of them suckers worked was about a week. Even the one I was trying out that they wanted me to pay for didn't work 90% of the time. I was thinking about that very fact one day here a while back when the new one I had just gotten worked for exactly one day before their server went down.

Now, way back yonder in days gone by, I can remember when lots of folks had two or three old cars setting around. Sometimes one of them was running, sometimes even two or all three might run. Somebody was always tinkering on one or more of them. I used to think that they just kept their fingers crossed and if they really needed to go someplace maybe, just maybe, one of them would run.

So I finally decided what I would do about my guestbook problem. I'm just gonna start collecting them like a basket full of hen eggs and keep my fingers crossed that if one of my visitors decides they want to leave me a message (good or bad) then maybe, just maybe, one of them will be working.

You just go ahead and pick out one and give it a whirl. If that one don't work, pick another one. Shucks, you can sign any or all of them, if they are all working. If none of them work, just be glad you didn't put that same kind on your page. They have all worked at LEAST ONCE, so if some of them ain't working today......IT AIN'T MY FAULT.

Wanna place any bets on which ones will work??
Hint: if the Gif ain't working, I wouldn't bet on that one.
