"Nashville South".. I Just Love Country Music

Being born and raised in Southeast Texas, one comes to believe that we must have something special in the water here. I love not only County Music, but Bluegrass, old time Rock-N-Roll and that good old "Country Gospel" music I was raised on. Around here, Country Music artist' just seem to bubble up like the artesian well at Honey Island. I grew up listening to Tex Ritter, then along came, "The Possum", George Jones. Now we have Mark Chesnutt, Clay Walker and Tracy Byrd and so many other artist' both in the Country Music and and other music fields. And that's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Country Music talent that can call this area their home. We've got some "Rising Stars" that I'm sure will soon be making their mark. Maybe it won't be long till' SouthEast Texas really will be known as "Nashville South."
