OBITUARIES

Obituaries may contain a wealth of information concerning the genealogy of family members. Often there is more information in a small amount of space than can be found any other place. Older obituaries were often almost a memorial to the life and accomplishments of those departed. Unfortunately, today, since most newspapers now charge by the number of words, less and less is often being written. Also keep in mind that obituaries are not always 100% accurate.
