RICHARD YANCEY
Imprimis, My soul I assign to the divine Author of all nature, and my body I wish decently interred at the discretion of my Executors. Secondly, of my worldly matters I make the following distribution: First, to my wife, I give during her life the following negroes: Charlotte and her two children named Sarah and Juda and after her decease I give them and their increase to my daughter AGATHA B. YANCEY and her heirs forever. Also I give for her life Cupid and Davy and after her death I give them to my son RICHARD HENRY YANCEY forever also a feather bed and furniture. Item, I give to my daughter AGATHA B YANCEY a feather bed and furniture and my young bay mare Spider forever. Item, I give to my granddaughter ELIZABETH STORY a negro girl named Nancy to her heirs forever and to my daughter JUDITH my chest of drawers and China Bowl having before given to her, her share. Item, I give to my son RICHARD HENRY YANCEY and his heirs forever the following negroes to wit: Winny Cromwell and Lyd and their children Brokes and Jupiter together with their increase, also I give him my dish and best dining table and a feather bed, and furniture. Item, I give to my daughter DOLLY $50; lastly after payment of my debts the rest and residue of my estate real and personal un-less my wife wishes to continue at our now residence in which case I give her a reasonable allowance of provisions for a years support, and if not, the whole to be sold and amassed together and then I give to my wife one hundred dollars and the remainder I give to my son RICHARD HENRY YANCEY and his heirs and assignees forever hereby constituting my son RICHARD HENRY YANCEY my executor and revoking all other wills and testaments given under my hand and sealed this day the twenty-ninth day of August Domini 1804.
