TEACHERS TEEPEE
I guess looking back we better give credit where credit is due. To those teachers and staff who tried to educate, mold and turn us into useful & responsible adults, we own a great deal of credit. They put up with our mis-behavings, raging hormones, sometimes awful attitudes and occasionally our brilliant ideas. Some of our own have followed in their footsteps and now the shoe is on the other foot. Sometimes almost hated, sometimes looked up to, they keep plugging away and finally managed to get us through some of the most trying times of our lives. If we are even mildly successful in our lives today then they are deserving of some of that credit along with our parents.
I don't think any of us will ever forget Mr. Oliver P. Monk, our high school principle. He was the kind of man who would stand by you if you were in the right but look out if you were in the wrong. He didn't always just take the side of the adult world. When I think back, I regard Mr. Monk with great esteem. Not everyone remembers their leaders in such a manner, but Mr. Monk was that kind of man.
